Regular Council

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accept the agenda as presented.

That the Council of Municipality of West Perth accept Consent Items 4.1 - 4.10 for information and the minutes of the April 6, 2021 Regular Meeting and April 6, 2021 Public Meeting be adopted.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accepts the March Building Permit Report as submitted.

That West Perth Council receive the report titled Fire Safety Grant , dated April 19, 2021 and prepared by Fire Chief Bill Hunter for information; and, That West Perth Council authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement on behalf of the Municipality.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth approve the required repairs at the Lions Club Playground up to the amount of $26,000.00 plus HST; and, That the project be funded through the Playground Equipment Reserve.

That Council for the Municipality of West Perth direct staff prepare options to dispose of the surplus portion of 55 Montreal Street and retain a functional public parking lot; and, That the net revenue of the sale of the surplus portion of 55 Montreal Street be put toward the building of approximately 850 ft 2 of accessible community space in the new municipal office.

That the report titled West Perth’s Consolidated Statements report be received; and, That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth approve the new report format for the Consolidated Budget and ongoing monthly operating statements with adjustments to be made as required for future reporting.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth award the construction of Hopf Drain 2020 to Horst Excavating Inc. in the amount of $50,810.00 + HST.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth award the rental of 9.7 Ha (29 acres) of Municipality owned agricultural land described as Part of Lot 22, Concession 1, Former Fullarton Township located north of Frank Street to the highest bid submission received from Saddle Up Stables in the amount of $3,262.50 plus HST.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth receive the Community Safety and Well-being Plan – Interim Report, for information.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth receive the Mitchell Reservoir Operations 2021 report for information.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accepts the reports from staff and Councillors as presented; and further that all committee minutes and correspondence not specifically dealt with by resolution be received and filed.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth gives first, second and third and final reading to By-law 26-2021, 27-2021, 28-2021, 29-2021, 31-2021, and 32-2021 this 19th day of April, 2021, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate Seal thereto.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth gives first, second and third and final reading to By-law 30-2021 this 19th day of April, 2021, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate Seal thereto.

That By-law 33-2021 being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Perth be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed and that the said By-law be signed by the Mayor and the Clerk and sealed with the seal of the Corporation.

That the Council of the Municipality of West Perth adjourn the Council meeting at 8:41 p.m.
