Regular Council

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accepts the agenda as presented.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accept the Consent Agenda items 4.1-4.7 for information; AND FURTHER THAT the minutes of the April 27, 2015 meeting of Council be adopted.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth adjourn to open the Court of Revision for the Brodhagen Municipal Drain 2015.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth close the Court of Revision for the Brodhagen Municipal Drain 2015 AND FURTHER THAT the Regular Council meeting resume.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the service agreement between West Perth and DataFix to provide Voter List management services for the next four years at a contract price of $1,187.50 annually (total $4,750.00).

THAT the Municipality of West Perth Council receives the Council Report regarding the Annual Status Update to the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan,and; THAT the Municipality of West Perth Council approves the Perth County Joint Accessibility Plan: Annual Status Update and; THAT the Annual Status Update be posted publicly on the Municipality of West Perth website.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth appoint John Van Bakel to the ERTH Board of Directors commencing June 2015.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth approve a request from Johnny's Meat & Deli to hold a fundraising BBQ on the sidewalk in front of 89 Ontario Road on May 15-16, 2015 from 11 am, 1 p.m. —

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth defer consideration of support for the construction of a road on Campbell Drive pending a staff report to address the process for consideration and cost sharing options.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth approve an application by Bannerman Farms Ltd. for a Tile Drain Loan with the municipality and that it be fonrvarded to the Treasurer for processing.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth approve the use of the Lions Park Pavillion by the Mitchell & District Agricultural Society on June 26, 2015 for a Strawberry Social fundraiser free of charge.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth grant $5,000 from the 2015 donation budget to the Mitchell & District Agricultural Society to make the washrooms accessible and for the addition of a kitchenette on the main level.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth direct the Fire Chief to proceed with the hiring process for three (3) new firefighters for the Municipality of West Perth Fire Department.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth accepts the reports from staff and Councillors as presented at the May 11, 2015 Council meeting; and further that all committee minutes and correspondence not specifically dealt with by resolution be received and filed.

By-law 36-2015, Being a By-law to set the 2015 tax rates, adopt estimates and to levy taxes for the Year 2015. By-law 37-2015, Being a By-law to establish and require payment of various fees & charges forthe Municipality of West Perth be read a first and second time this 11'“,day of May. 2015.

THAT By—law36-2015 and By-law 37-2015, be read now a third and final time and passed this 11"‘,day of May, 2015.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth adjourn into a Closed Session at 8:23 pm. in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 239, for the following purpose: (a) the security of the property of the municipality or local board. (c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board, (f) Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose. (e) Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth reconvene into open session at 9:17 p.m.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth authorize staff to tender the lease for agricultural purposes of Industrial lands for an additional 3 year period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019 to establish the price per hectare which would then apply to any additional lands leased for similar purposes moving fon/vard.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Perth authorize the Mayor and the Clerk to sign the Minutes of Settlement regarding Hoegy's Farm Supply Limited vs. the Municipality of West Perth Ontario Municipal Board appeal.

THAT By»law 38-2015 being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of West Perth for the meeting dated May 11th, 2015 be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed this 11th day of May, 2015.

THAT The Council of the Municipality of West Perth adjourn the Council meeting at 9:19 pm.
